Mulvey, Vanessa (Flute)

mulvey.jpgVanessa Mulvey is a flute and Body Mapping teacher based in Boston, Massachusetts who has presented workshops on flute and Body Mapping at the National Flute Association Convention and Performing Arts Medicine Association Symposium. A faculty member of the New England Conservatory of Music and Longy School of Music of Bard College, her teaching is grounded in an understanding of the body’s design for movement. Ms. Mulvey has presented sessions at music schools and festivals which include the Festivales Internacionales de Flautistas in Lima, Perú, Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, the Utah Flute Association, the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, and Boston University Tanglewood Institute. She is a licensed Body Mapping Educator, with degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and Crane School of Music. Ms. Mulvey’s thirst for understanding movement led her to add certification as a personal trainer and Level 1 A.D.A.P.T. Parkour Coach to her credentials.
