Reusch, Sean (Trombone)

sean-resize.jpgThird generation trombonist Sean Reusch has enjoyed a varied career both as a performer and an educator, and enjoys performing many types of music including solo, chamber, orchestral, studio, commercial, musical theater, and jazz. Originally from Toms River, NJ, Mr. Reusch was a founding member of the internationally touring brass quintet Presidio Brass. He has performed with many groups including the San Diego Symphony, San Diego Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Redlands Symphony, Pacific Symphony, Paragon Ragtime Orchestra, Boston Brass, and the Barnum & Bailey Circus. Mr. Reusch has performed with artists such as Placido Domingo, Dave Brubeck, Johnny Mathis, David Sanborn, Bernadette Peters, Eddie Daniels, Natalie Cole, Peter Cetera, and Marvin Hamlisch. He has been heard in the pits of Book of Mormon, Kiss Me Kate, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Motown, Cinderella, Pippin, Kinky Boots, Newsies, and The Lion King, and is currently a member of the Nittany Trombone Quartet and the Millennia Consort.

As an educator, Mr. Reusch has been on faculty at University of California San Diego, San Diego State University, Point Loma Nazarene University, and Palomar College, and currently teaches at the Idyllwild Arts Academy during the summer. He has presented masterclasses at Louisiana State University, Penn State University, Point Loma Nazarene University, St. Norbert College, San Diego State University, University of California Los Angeles, University of California Santa Barbara, University of Delaware, and University of Southern Mississippi.

Mr. Reusch resides in Carlsbad, CA, with his wife Bridget and two children, Miles and Ruby. Sean Reusch is a Yamaha Artist.
